Jennifer Love Tang for City Council

In 2019, Jennifer Love Tang ran for City Council in her home town of Monterey Park, CA. She was one of the youngest candidates to ever run, and was running against an incumbent with serious financial backers.

I wanted to give her a fresh and colorful campaign logo that would set her apart from the unremarkable campaign graphics that flood city government races.

In addition to her logo, I set her up with a comprehensive brand guide that all of her campaign volunteers could easily follow when creating campaign materials, emails, and social media posts.

It was super fun to create the additional design elements as well: her signature, patterns, badges, and banners.

Armed with a slew of design ammo, legions of supporters and volunteers, and fresh energy, Jennifer mounted a competitive campaign and very nearly won.
